Yeah, we’re getting tired about talking about Zara too. But, once again Zara is trying to right their wrongs.
Last year, Zara released its “Sustainable Collection.” And, once again this year, they’ve continued to revamp the line and promote it even further.
If you follow the #joinlife movement, you can keep track with the celebrities and everyday individuals who are buying into Zara’s latest sustainability fad. Of course, doing something is better than doing nothing. So, for now, we do believe that this is a step in the right direction for this fast fashion giant.
However, it’s hard to ignore that it is also a marketing tactic – greenwashing at its finest. If you visit their stores, the brand is promoting in-store recycling bins. Even further, the company started a collaborative art project entitled “Boxes with a Past” that provides artists with Zara’s 100 percent recycled boxes.
Not to mention that this was a copycat-move of H&M’s “Conscious Collection.”
But, this is Zara we’re talking about, so are you really that surprised? We’re not.
