YOU Cannes be Chic

The second city of our France trip: Cannes.

Cannes is the perfect mix between the city and the beach. It is beautiful, magical, and absolutely one of a kind. So, trust us when we say that you HAVE to visit this place!

We had the incredible opportunity of visiting this city during the 70th Annual Cannes Film Festival and the energy that stems from this event is palpable. France is already beautiful with great weather, add in a couple of really well-known celebrities (Collin Farrell was staying at a hotel 2 minutes from us!) and you just know that it is going to make for an enjoyable stay.

When you visit (because we really hope you follow our advice), try to go during the film festival, which is usually at the end of May. Official festival photographers will be roaming the streets of Cannes and, given your obvious chic-ness, they will without a doubt stop you for a picture. They are selective of who they photograph, but we have a few tips on how you can look even more like a star than you already do. Here they are:

  1. Do NOT wear a long evening gown – you will see a lot of people doing this to try to get noticed, but it unfortunately backfires and they have to walk the streets with no real place to go.
  2. Wear something that is simple and elegant. This will make you stand out the most. A leather miniskirt with a ruffle stop is perfect! (check out our Instagram for outfit inspirations).
  3. Gentlemen, DO NOT forget your Gab McNiel rings at home. We got At LEAST 6 compliments in just TWO short days in Cannes on these beautiful accessories. So trust us when we say it’s a must-have. Don’t have one yet? You can get one with 25% off with the code CHIC on the Gab McNiel website.

Be sure to let us know when you visit. We can’t wait to see how you WOW the crowd!

Stay Chic.
