Canadian Designers Making a Difference Worldwide

Following up on our “unisex” label discussion in our latest post about Zara, it is comforting to see a more efficient means of neutralizing clothing happening overseas. Unlike the labeling strategy that many multi-national North American countries are taking, Arab fashion Week aims to being unisex minimalism to Dubai.

We are proud to note, that the show opened Tuesday night with Jordanian-Canadian designer, Rad Hourani, who is known for his popular and sensational unisex designs.

“I don’t aim to make men feminine, or women masculine. […] It’s to infuse the two anatomies and create one pure unisex neutral pattern. I think it’s important to understand what neutrality is, what unisex is about.” says Hourani.

Now THAT is a fashion icon.
