Here we go again with the patent infringements. Philipp Plein is currently under fire for copying a patent design of French leather goods company Perrin Paris. What’s the design Plein is being accused of copying? Well, nothing chicer than the ever so trendy glove-clutch. It’s time to take the gloves out, because these brands are READY to battle.
According to Paris, everything about the clutch is the same, other than an added design of the skull on the glove portion of the bag. Below are the two bags, the left being Paris’s design and the right being Plein’s alleged copy.
Paris also states that they contacted Plein in regards to the similarity and were under the assumption that the company would pull the bags from the shelves. This, clearly, did not happen (unfortunate, but not unprecedented).
What do you think? Are these unique clutches TOO similar?
